RULE: 34.3 – RATES STEVEDORING SERVICES
Effective 05MAY2019
The terminal operator will provide stevedoring services
to vessels with or without self-contained cargo handling
gears loading and/or discharging at the terminal warehouse
pier limited to the availability of stevedores; the
following rates will be assessed on inbound and outbound
cargo; and except as otherwise provided, rates apply per
ton of 2,000 lbs. (W) or 40 cubic feet (M), whichever
produces the greater revenue.

Miscellaneous
a. Delayed and/or detention of stevedoring and/or stevedores
contracted personnel. Any delays, detention, waiting time
beyond the control of Tinian Marine Stevedore Inc.;
for any reason other than acts of God will be charged against
the carrier at the prevailing rates plus 10% for all
personnel and/or equipment called by the carrier and/or
the carrier representative.
b. Legal holidays and overtime rates unless previously
contracted at a fixed rate, all stevedoring work on Saturdays,
Sundays, Legal Holidays observed in Northern Marianas Islands
and from 1800 hours to 0700 hours will be charged 50% in
addition to the basic stevedoring rate.
c. Over stowed cargo
Each movement will be assessed the regular rate as provided
in this tariff. The Chief Officer of the carrier vessel will
be required to supply weight and cubic measure of shifted
cargo and sign verifying these services rendered.
d. Transhipment cargo other than bulk commodities transferred
ship to ship will be assessed $10.00 per revenue ton, all
charges for the account of the first carrier, standard shipping
containers which will be assessed as follows:

e. Special and/or unusual stevedoring requirements for cargo
not specified and not acceptable as “General Car N.O.S.” will
be assessed a negotiated rate between Tinian Marine Stevedore, Inc.
the carrier and the consignee.
